Let’s talk about your goals, whether you want to lose 10 pounds or 100!
What to Know About Prescription Weight Loss Medications
At Arijai, we offer two weight loss medications and can prescribe them in four states: California, Florida, Minnesota, and Texas. For our weight loss programs, you will have labs drawn and then either receive the medication in the mail or come in and get the weight loss injection in our Burnsville office if you are local.
How Does Prescription Weight Loss Shots Work?
Prescription weight loss drugs work by altering either appetite or absorption of calories. This means that they make you want to eat less, and you lose weight. We recommend staying active, eating well, and tracking what you’re eating so you know what you can handle and how the medication is working. Diet and exercise are still important, and these drugs aren’t for everyone, so be honest about your medical history during your consultation.
Like excess weight, weight loss medication requires lifelong management. If you stop taking it, you no longer have the appetite suppressant benefits.
Once Weekly Tirzepatide Shots
FDA-approved for adults with type 2 diabetes and prescribed off-label for obesity, Tirzepatide is an injection administered under the skin once weekly. It activates receptors in the brain associated with appetite regulation.
