The new year is the perfect time to give your appearance a makeover, and if invasive procedures aren’t really your style, you have plenty of options for enhancing your appearance.

At Arijai Aesthetics, we know surgical procedures can be more than a little intimidating—after all, your face is your most visible body part. That’s why we offer a variety of minimally invasive skincare treatments designed to deliver maximum results with minimal downtime.

If you’ve been searching for effective treatments that can help minimize signs of aging and enhance your natural glow, here are X minimally invasive cosmetic procedures we think you should consider:

1. Dermal Fillers

Injectable dermal fillers are designed to enhance facial volume and subtly reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and folds throughout the face. The most effective type of filler depends largely on the signs of aging you’d like to correct, so a consultation with our cosmetic dermatology specialists is essential.

At Arijai Aesthetics, we offer the following dermal fillers:

●        Volbella, Vollure, and Voluma

●        Juvéderm Ultra and Juvéderm Ultra Plus

●        Restylane, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne, and Restylane Lift

While minimally invasive soft tissue fillers won’t produce quite the drastic results that invasive, surgical procedures can, dermal fillers are a conservative, yet highly effective treatment. Typically, filler injections last anywhere from one to two years, with some fillers providing subtle, long-term improvements as well.

2. Kybella

Kybella is a cosmetic injectable (not to be confused with a dermal filler) that’s designed to eliminate unwanted fat tissue beneath the chin. The active ingredient in this product — synthetic deoxycholic acid — is identical to its natural counterpart that’s already produced by your body.

When injected into the area beneath the chin, this synthetic bile salt destroys the outer membranes of fat cells in the area. With no outer membrane, those cells are forced to release their contents, and your body breaks them down and eliminates them at waste.

If you have more chin than you're comfortable with and would like to fix that, check out Is Kybella Right for You? to learn more about the treatment.

3. Dermalinfusion

It sounds a bit like microdermabrasion and that’s because it is — but it’s better. A lot better. Dermalinfusion is a three-in-one skincare treatment designed to deeply detoxify and exfoliate your skin while infusing it with essential hydration and skin health-boosting nutrients.

Like microdermabrasion, dermalinfusion deeply exfoliates your skin, but it does so via a diamond-tipped wand rather than a spray of harsh and irritating exfoliating crystals. And similar to microdermabrasion, dermalinfusion also extracts dead skin cells and excessive oil to detoxify your skin.

But unlike microdermabrasion (and this is super important!) dermalinfusion also infuses your skin with essential nutrients and hydration via condition-specific serums. These serums help prevent your skin from becoming overly irritated or dry after the procedure, and they also help improve the health and appearance of your complexion.

4. SkinPen Microneedling

Microneedling works to bolster your skin’s endogenous collagen production, which naturally begins to decline as early as your 20s. Because collagen is responsible for providing structure and volume to your face, the more collagen you can stimulate your body to produce, the more youthful your appearance will be.

By creating tiny, superficial punctures in the upper layer of your skin, SkinPen treatments trigger your natural immune system response as well. Once triggered, your immune system begins working to repair the minuscule punctures, which it does by building healthy, new skin cells where damaged cells once existed.

For more dramatic, restorative results, we often follow SkinPen microneedling with platelet-rich plasma injections, which we’ll cover next!

5. Microneedling With PRP Injection

If you’ve heard of the ultra-trendy “vampire facial,” this is it. Made famous by none other than Kim K herself, microneedling combined with PRP injections is perhaps the most natural and effective anti-aging treatment for reversing signs of aging and sun damage.

When you get this treatment, we extract PRP from your own body, so you needn’t worry about adverse reactions to specific product ingredients. We take a small sample of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge, and separate the platelets from the other blood components. Then we inject your PRP back into your skin, so you’re literally using the power of your own immune system to heal and enhance your skin!

Because your blood platelets are responsible for repairing damage throughout your body, they’re highly effective at restoring damaged and aging skin, too. Platelet-rich plasma injections contain approximately three to five times the number of healing blood platelets present in normal, whole blood, which makes them a potent healing tool.

When combined with SkinPen microneedling, PRP effectively stimulates the immune system to regenerate skin cells and replace dying, damaged skin with new, healthy tissue.

It’s important to note that you’ll experience mild skin tenderness and redness following the treatment, but those effects typically dissipate within a few days. Ultimately, the procedure works to reveal new, glowing skin that looks significantly healthier and more youthful than it did before treatment. Most patients need multiple micro-needling sessions to achieve the best results.
